Uganda Airlines

Uganda Airline is generally the flag barrier of Uganda which once operated from 1997 to 2001. The current carrier began flying in August 2019 whose headquarters are located within Entebbe International Airport in Wakiso District.

Uganda Airlines is Uganda’s national passenger and cargo carrier with scheduled flights in East Africa and near international markets. Recently the Airline has been revived with two Bombardier CRJ900s. Besides, the airline is gifted with 4 Bombardier CRJ900 planes.

Where Uganda Airlines operates

As a matter of fact, Uganda Airline flies to different cities. These include; Bujumbura, Kinshasa, Mombasa, Nairobi, Mogadishu, Johannesburg, Juba, Dar es Salaam,  Kilimanjaro, Entebbe, Dubai etc.  However, the intercontinental destinations that are considered include; Dubai International Airport, Mumbai International Airport. Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Heathrow International Airport and airports in the Southern and Western Africa. It was reported that on the 2nd of March 2021 Uganda airlines would commerce five times a week between Entebbe and London Heathrow on 28th of March 2021 using the A330-800 equipment.

Airline routes

With the arrival and addition of new planes to the Uganda’s Airline’s fleet, they will expand the route map and fly to DRC, Lusaka, Djibouti, Zanzibar, Harare, Addis Ababa, to mention but a few. Above all the airline also planes to make international flights linking the Pearl of Africa to Europe, middle East, Asia, China, India among others.
